Released on October 14th, 2026.

This version’s [documentation](https://docs.sensmetry.com/1.0.0/).

Syside 1.0 is here: built for enterprise systems engineering at scale. The full release notes are in the blog post: **[Releasing Syside 1.0: for production at scale](https://sensmetry.com/syside-v1-for-production-at-scale/)**. Here is the short version.

**One product: Syside**

- Syside Editor, Modeler, CLI and Automator are now one product, **Syside**. It ships as a VS Code extension and as a Python library with a CLI.
- The CLI and the [Sysand](https://sysand.com/) package manager now install with the Python library.
- The Syside Modeler extension gets no more feature updates and will be discontinued on 2027-01-21.

**New diagram engine**

- A new in-house visualization engine with [full SysML v2 diagram coverage](https://docs.sensmetry.com/1.0.0/about/sysml-v2-diagram-coverage/), available in both the extension and the Python library/CLI.
- Two-way sync between diagrams and textual notation, adjustable depth, on-the-fly style switching and custom (including conditional) element colors.

**Modeling, views and automation**

- New diagnostics and validation rules for more accurate models.
- Table, matrix and diagram views now render even when a model has non-critical errors. Hierarchical tables have been expanded.
- Python APIs load models better and guard against patterns that make scripts slow.

**⚠ Before you upgrade**

1.0 contains breaking changes to models, settings, views, grids and Python scripts. Please follow the **[Migrate to Syside v1](https://docs.sensmetry.com/1.0.0/about/migrate-to-v1/)** guide.

**Getting Syside 1.0**

Syside 1.0 needs a valid license to download. For now it is available to paying users only and isn’t on the VS Code/VSCodium marketplaces or PyPI. Syside 0.x tools are still available on those channels. See [plans and pricing](https://sensmetry.com/plans/).
