Syside 1.0.2

Released on 2026-10-28.

This version’s documentation. This is a patch release with fixes. Syside Solver totals are more accurate, and some Solver results can change (see below).

Syside Solver

  • Some totals are now reported as not decided, where they depend on something SysML leaves open: whether parts with equal values are added once or once each, and whether a part declared with :> and no multiplicity is one part. To get a value, run with --alt-semantics free. For the second case, you can instead write the multiplicity in the model (for example part a [1] :> parts).
  • With --alt-semantics free, totals such as mass or cost count every part: part plates : Plate [8] adds all eight plates, not one.
  • A total written once on a shared part definition, as the part’s own value plus its sub-parts’ totals, now works across any number of levels.
  • Two parts connected with bind are treated as the same part.
